Dealing With Liquids, the twelth and final track on the eponymous album, happened very quickly. Mick Came up with a sequenced groove and Nick wrote the lyrics overnight. The song was finished in two days.

In the bleak winter dawn he stands shivering on the parapet looking down into the fast flowing waters of the river below. Nothing in his life seems worth the trouble of continuing now that his truly beloved has let him go. Life plays tricks, and none crueller than a jealous suitor who lied to them both.
